Made ice perfectly twice. When I told it to make ice again, it gave an error code. I won't buy anything Haier again. I've had other of their appliances work poorly and reviews on their products are not that good. Not worth the risk - especially when you don't even get what you pay for. I prefer energy star rated appliances anyway.Customer Review: quick ice

My refrigerator has no ice maker, so whenever having guests over I would have to buy bagged ice. There was really no good place to put the bag without it melting quickly and sticking together in large clumps.I started searching for an alternative and came upon these machines. After reading all the reviews there seems to be a consistency between all the brands as to how many work and how many are DOA. I chose the Haier as it seem to be the brand choice of the appliances in the local asian community. The unit arrived three days after my order was placed. I unpacked, cleaned and plugged it in. After filling with water I kept my fingers crossed and hit the power button. It made the first dozen cubes in about ten minutes and just kept going and going. It may be just a little noisy but it makes plenty of ice quickly. The machine does just what it says and I am now never short on ice for my drinks or my guests needs.
